Information and Intelligence Sharing Seminar

National police lead for operations and events, Deputy Chief Constable Andy Adams

The national police lead for operations and events, Deputy Chief Constable Andy Adams is hosting a free seminar to discuss the value of information and intelligence sharing between festival organisers, venues, security teams and the Police Service.

In the last 12 months the Police Service has established a national intelligence picture around festivals and events in the UK and across Europe, and would like to share the findings of the report into patterns of criminality at events that were held during 2014.

The Police Service recognises that a significant amount of effort is made by venues, organisers and security teams to address some of the crime and disorder issues at events, and this seminar presents an opportunity to discuss good practice and make proposals for future improvements.

The Police Service would like to work more closely with organisers at events and venues and to share information promptly and consistently. The aim is to allocate resources more effectively at events, reduce crime and bring offenders to justice, making festivals and events a safer environment for the public.

The event will be held from 1000hrs to 1400hrs on Thursday 19th March 2015 in The Indigo 2 lounge at the 02 Arena in London. There is no limit to numbers, so please feel free to pass this onto any other people who you feel may benefit and are able to contribute to the discussions on the day.

Please email Operation.gothic@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk  to book your place at the event.
