SkillsActive - National Occupational Standards (NOS) Review
SkillsActive invites you to support NOS review in spectator safety
Since the launch of the SkillsActive project to review the National Occupational Standards (NOS) in spectator safety in April 2014, SkillsActive have been very busy working together with the Sports Ground Safety Authority and other key stakeholders.
After the initial steering group meeting in June 2014, industry experts have been recruited and they have helped to redraft the SkillsActive owned Spectator safety standards.
These redrafted NOS was submitted to the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES) for approval in late July and were approved as draft NOS in early August.
The draft NOS is now available on the SkillsActive website by job roles as well as a link to the online consultation questionnaires:
As part of the consultations, two surveys have been prepared that cover both the newly redrafted standards and some more specific details regarding the developments.

There will be a consultation period from August to early October consisting of home nation events in mid- September, please see details below:
Wales – Cardiff, Millennium Stadium Tuesday 16th September
England – Windsor, Royal Windsor Racecourse Monday 22nd September
Northern Ireland – Belfast, House of Sport Tuesday 23rd September
Scotland - Glasgow, SQA Thursday 25th September
